Accepted Materials

Newspapers, magazines, aluminum cans, plastic soft drink bottles, translucent milk jugs, plastic grocery and retail bags, cardboard, all colors glass, telephone books and junk mail.

Green Station

Accepted Materials:
Used oil, gasoline, and anti-freeze. Fluorescent lights 4' and 8' in length; compact fluorescent lights (CFLs). Only household quantities accepted. NO OTHER MATERIALS ACCEPTED.

Sherwood Public Works Facility, 6500 North Hills Blvd.
Monday 3:30 – 5:30
1st Saturday of each month 7 – Noon.

Electronic Recycling

Accepted Materials:
Household, residential quantities of: Computers, Copiers, DVD players, Paper shredders, Printers, Televisions, VCRs, Phones, Stereos, Radios, Fax machines, and Microwave ovens. (Five items per visit.)

Location and time same as Green Station (above).

Tire Disposal

You may turn in up to four passenger or light truck tires (under 19”) per day for free. There is a $4 fee for each tire over four in a day or for larger truck tires.

Construction and Demolition Debris

Accepted Materials:
Lumber Concrete, Brick, Shingles, Cardboard, Plastics, White goods.

Garbage and Yard Waste

By law, yard waste must be separate from regular garbage. Call for collection in Sherwood:: 501-835-3288

ELECTRONICS RECYCLING & GREEN STATION RECYCLING ARE LOCATED AT SAME SITES

All GREEN STATIONS will only accept quantities of the following items:

Used Oil
Used Gasoline
Used Anti-freeze
4' Fluorescent lights
8' Fluorescent lights
Compact Fluorescent lights (CFLs)

NO OTHER MATERIALS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT GREEN STATIONS.

NO MATERIALS WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM BUSINESSES, CHURCHES,SCHOOLS OR GOVERNMENTAL OPERATIONS.

ALL SITES ARE MONITORED AND ILLEGAL DUMPING WILL RESULT IN PROSECUTION.

For household batteries, call your local Radio Shack to check if they participate in the Call2Recycle program

Add sand, sawdust or cat litter to paint products; let air dry then place in regular trash

Remove the spray button from the stem on spray containers and place all in regular trash

Spring 2012 Electronics Collection at Verizon Arena

Verizon Arena VIP parking lot North Little Rock, AR
April 18 and 19
8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This event is free to businesses, individual households, non-profits, churches, hospitals, and schools in Pulaski County. All Participants, except individual households, are required to present a statement on letterhead indicating company/group name and the amount of electronics delivered or fill out an information statement at the collection site.

Items accepted are computers, monitors, printers, copiers, VCR/DVD players, televisions, microwaves, telephones, stereos, radios, paper shredders, and fax machines. Other electronic items will not be accepted.

Participants with large quantities (over 5 items) should bring materials palletized, in Gaylord boxes, or at least two (2) people to help with the unloading.
