Curbside Recycling

Accepted Materials for Curbside and Drop Off Recycling

Newspapers with inserts, office paper and computer paper, corrugated cardboard, paperboard material, i.e. cereal boxes (no wax lining), junk mail and magazines, Brown paper grocery bags, plastic grocery and dry cleaning bags (no food residue), aluminum and steel food and beverage cans, any color plastic containers and any color glass container.

Please place paper products in paper grocery bag and into recycling container.
Plastic and steel food cans are commingled in recycling bin.

Fairpark Blvd, across from the LR Zoo, Saturdays 7am - 12 noon.
St. Margaret's Episcopal Church - 20900 Chenal, Saturdays 7am - 12 noon
SW Community Center - 6401 Baseline, Saturdays - 7am to 12 noon

Household Chemical Collections

Accepted Materials:
Household quantities of solvents; Common household cleaners: ammonia, bleach, disinfectants, strong cleansers - liquid and powder, degreasers, oven cleaners, spot removers, and drain cleaners; Used oil, gasoline, and antifreeze; Household, nickel-cadmium and car batteries; Pesticides, insecticides and herbicides; Fluorescent and incandescent light bulbs; Mercury-containing household items; Medical sharps containers.

Items should be in the original container and clearly labeled. Only household quantities of common household chemicals will be accepted. Waste from businesses, ammunition or other explosives will not be accepted. Please limit quantities to five 5-gallon containers of any material. No trailers will be accepted.
Pulaski County Sanitation, behind the county jail, off Roosevelt road to Brown Street. From Brown Street, turn right at the Pulaski County Road and Bridge Department; follow the signs to the Sanitation department until you see our center.
Open Thursday (7:00 am to 9:30 am and 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm) and the 2nd Saturday of the month (7:00 am to noon). Closed on Thanksgiving.
10001 Kanis Rd. in the back parking lot of the Little Rock Police Substation at the corner of Jr. Deputy and Kanis.
Open Thursdays (7:00 am to 9:30 am and 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm) and the 1st Saturday of the month (7:00 am to noon). Closed on Thanksgiving.

Electronic Recycling

Accepted Materials:
Household, residential quantities of: Computers, Copiers, DVD players, Paper shredders, Printers, Televisions, VCRs, Cell phones, Microwave ovens.

Locations and times same as Household Chemicals (above).

Tire Disposal

You may turn in up to four passenger or light truck tires (under 19”) per day for free. There is a $4 fee for each tire over four in a day or for larger truck tires.

Lumber Concrete, Brick, Shingles, Cardboard, Plastics, White goods.

The L&W site is just off I-530 at the Dixon Road exit in Pulaski County.

Garbage and Yard Waste

By law, yard waste must be separate from regular garbage. Call for collection in Little Rock: : 501-888-2208

Take Your Batteries To Radio Shack

Computer Recycling

Goodwill Industries, in conjunction with Dell Computers, are now accepting computers for recycling. Accepted items include CPUs, monitors, wires, keyboards, speakers, printers. Televisions will be accepted only if they work. All Goodwill stores in Pulaski County are participating. Stores are open from 9 am until 7 pm.
